Current models of Walther handguns still have an aesthetic and functional design that is distinctive of Walther while offering women greater firepower in a easy to handle compact handgun. Several variations of the Walther P99 have been developed to provide the same performance as the original handgun, in more compact, easier to conceal packages. The P22 is a scaled down P99 chambered in .22LR, which provides ample opportunities for pistol training. Walther's PPS, on the other hand, is a more compact, slimmer version of the P99, available in 9mm and .40 S&W calibers, with adjustable back straps to give women a pistol that is easy to hold, adjustable to their grip and still capable of delivering full ammunition.
